Janssen should NEVER be allowed to officiate another MSU game again. His stat's prove he has it out for MSU and Izzo. F him.
Burr is just an old, out of shape old man who defines terrible officiating in the B1G.
Both of these clowns should be regulated to time keeper status, although I am sure they'd f that up as well.

Janssen has done 5 B1G conference games, 5 home B1G non-conference games, and did the Iowa @ UNI game. Unlikely he just happens to show up in frigid East Lansing after being in Lubbock last night.

By the way...it is an indictment on the poor officiating in the B1G that we all know their names. Officials should NEVER get this much run.

Eddie Hightower did the Northwestern-Iowa game in Iowa City. I highly doubt he ends up in EL. He usually only does back-to-backs that are driveable...

Don't know about the combine do you? Years ago Ed was setting up his transportation for the year and realized that other refs needed the same thing. Apparently he ( his business) supplies the transortation (air ) for most of the refs in the east and midwest. The refs pay the combine for this. The combine also schedules refs for games throughout the season - the conferences sign up for this instead of doing all the scheduling themselves. At least that's what I've been told.
edit: I've heard that Ed is getting rich from this. With all the games he does, it makes you wonder how it's possible for him to be a School Superintendent in Indiana.

These refs make an average of $1,500 per game, along with ALL expenses paid.
Jim "f'ing" Burr did 86 games in '09, 80 games in '10. And he's old as shit. That amount of games and that age, that's why he sucks at his job. And he's rich for doing it 5 months out of the year. Then you get guys like Hightower who are superintendents as well. Just ridiculous.

I would think that with either or both of these guys the Spartans chances to win take a very, very big hit.
I would also like to see what happens in the early game at PSU. Historically a super tough place to play.

nice to see how basketball is played outside the big ten area......no wonder Izzo and company seem to be the only team in the conference who can have success in March, the rest of the conference seems to lose and whine about not getting every single touch foul possible.

My gut feeling tells me we'll see valentine and burr. I wouldn't mind just valentine and a couple of no-names...throw burr into the mix and we're pretty much fucked.
