I drove past this morning and it looked open, but I was looking at their sign and salivating at the thought of a ham sandwich.
I know that Val Korrey, the owner of the Sip-n-Snack in Okemos died in the past few months. Could you be thinking of that, instead?
BTW: Val Korrey was just an awesome man, and the community lost so much when he died.

Oh man, big egg on my face. Yes, I was totally confusing Nip N Sip with Sip-N-Snack. The latter place is on Okemos Road and that's the one I had in mind.
Never been to Nip N Sip, but we used to play them in Pony League.

Lansing lunch experts:
1) Is the Hammy Sammy at Nip & Sip any good? I keep meaning to try it.2) Where in the EL/Lansing area can I find the best Rueben sandwich? I'm talking old school Rueben, not gussied up for heart-healthy reasons. Real corned beef. Honest-to-God, rectum-destroying sauerkraut.
TIA.
