LeBron James

I love all the Lebron haters. If the dude gets to three rings (which is still very, very possible) I think he will go down as the best player in the history of basketball. He is the most freakish athlete I've ever seen, and there is not one weak part of his game.

You can say you hate Lebron's game, but you know you're lying to yourself.

He's easily the best player in the game right now. People that argue that point just want to hate the guy. He's gonna need more than just 3 rings to get the title of GOAT though.

Still don't really understand all the hate. Given all the terrilbe things athletes have done over the years it's funny to me that the most hated one's most egregious crime was pretty much being an attention whore. People hate him and talk about him like he's a Ty Cobb type character.

If he wins a ring this year, he'll have won one before MJ did. Just sayin'.

Lebron has a 3 year head start on the league over MJ.

The Bulls were a below average team when MJ got there. It's not like he walked into a great situation like Tim Duncan or something.

His outside shot is not very consistent. Of course you wouldn't know it from last night.

So your argument to someone saying LeBron could go down as the best player is that his outside shot is not very consistent. Are you freaking kidding me?

LeBron has a higher 3 pt % in his career than Magic, Jordan and Isiah Thomas.

I think he was responding to the poster who said LBJ has no weaknesses. His inconsistent outside shooting has been a weakness that has plagued him throughout his career and probably the single most important factor in him having zero rings.

I don't think anyone will argue against Lebron as an all time great if he gets multiple rings, but at this point he has none so the argument is premature.

Always bringing actual facts, Punk I respect that about you.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good argument Raytooth.

Three rings is all he'll need in my book.

Barry Sanders: Best RB of all time (no rings, never made Super Bowl)
Dan Marino: Right near best QB of all-time (no rings)
Peyton Manning: See Marino, Dan (one ring)
Ty Cobb: Second best player ever in MLB (no rings)

Not sure why Lebron gets all the heat he does (no pun intended)

The difference in other sports compared to basketball is that in basketball there are only about 5-7 players who actually truly matter on each team. It is the most individual team sport of the Big Four that there is.

The hate is partly because of the attention he brings to himself and partly for the totally classless way he treated his hometown when he went to the Heat. He had every right to go but handled the situation in a graceless manner.

James was phenomenal last night. That's the kind of performance that's expected out of a player with that kind of talent. If he does that a few more times in the playoffs he will get the respect many think he now deserves.

Because basketball is one sport where a single player makes an enormous difference. Comparing him to football and baseball players is a fool's errand.

Yes, king james went "Beastmode" last night against one of the oldest teams in the league, the same team that had a hard time finishing off the Sixers. Congrats king you finally won an elimination game.

BTW: Megatron in more of a freak than king lebron

  • One of the all time great performances but he hit a bunch of very difficult mid-range J's. I'm not sure he's capable of doing that two games in a row.

LeBron has to win the title otherwise it won't be remembered. He is a great player, but until he wins the title he is going to get crap. Even if he puts up 40+ games every night the rest of the way and loses in 7 in the Finals to OKC.

I am starting to think all you LeBron backers are just trollin'

Where were living in a cave in 2010? He threw a party for himself on a huge stage with fireworks before they even had one practice, he said they would win "not 1, not 2, ..... not 7" championships in Miami, and that "practice would be hard work, but once they're out there on the floor its gonna be easy".

I will forever hate this clown. If you want to compare him to Dan Marino and Ty Cobb (lol by the way), be my guest. But he will never sniff the immortals Jordan, Magic, Kobe, Bird, etc. Unless he wins those 8 rings.

Are you serious? If he wins just ONE ring, he's in the top ten of all time. Already.

No other player has the skill set that he does in the history of the NBA. To continue to deny just how good he is, purely insane.

Blah blah blah, you've been saying the same shit for 25 pages. We get it, you think Lebron is a piece of shit. I just happen to think he is an incredible athlete and get so annoyed with all the pissing and moaning about him.

He made a mistake with the way he handled getting signed in Miami. Dude has never been in trouble, seems like a good teammate and a pretty decent guy.

You know what I'm LOLing at? The fact that you think he needs to win eight rings to "sniff" Bird, Magic or Jordan. Honestly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard

Magic was an incredible player, and top five no doubt. Lebron has a better skill set, I'm sorry to tell you.

Again, if Lebron wins 2-3 rings he'll go down as the best player ever. I stand by that.

He definitely has grown up this year and I will not deny he's the best player in the NBA.

I don't like the show boating, the dancing, the whining, the flopping, the attention whoring, the looks to his bench for reassurance that he is the greatest every time he makes a big shot, etc.

There have been a lot of phenomenal players in teh NBA over the years. Here are 10 players better than LeBron even with a ring:

    Kareem
    Magic
    Bird
    Jordan
    Kobe
    Russell
    Wilt
    West
    Oscar
    Duncan
