If you think our O-line is good...then I just can't help you. Their ceiling is average and they usually play below it. It doesn't help their cause that they have a QB who shits his pants with any pressure. If there is a stat for throw-aways, Maxwell has GOT to be leading the nation, he just gives up if anyone is near him. I think he has a ton of talent but I don't think he's a gamer with much will to win. Frustrates the shit out of me when he won't run with a clear opening too.

we both thought it was a TD. we both thought we should be able to get a 1/2 yard on fourth down.
o-line "they.are.awful." this, i call you on your bullshit.
i don't think they had one holding or illegal procedure the whole game. bell rushed for 140 yards. yes, maxwell was sacked (only) three times, one of which was on bell. maxwell had ample time to throw today.
and for that matter, the o-line played their best game of the year against nebraska, and played pretty damn well against wisconsin.
this is the big ten. the trenches are TOUGH. dirty, nasty, hard-hitting, etc.
show me a QB who DOESN'T get his jersey "dirty". you don't think these d-line from other teams don't have talent ?
i've come to conclusion, we are SNAKEBIT. i get so worked up for these damn games, i can't even talk to my wife and daughters for hours afterwords.
i'm down. i wanna puke, but i will be ROOTING LIKE HELL TO BEAT MINNESOTA. that is all.

I don't know how you can't overturn Bell's run and then watch the Oregon/Stanford game and see how their replay official handled the call. ABC froze the frame where the Stanford guy briefly had possesion and in bounds by an inch, but if you went just a frame further, he rejuggled the ball again and by the time he completely gathered it in, he was OB. If there was ever a play you could call it both ways and be correct, that would be it.
I thought Bell's run was FAR more obvious than Stanford's play, but not when MSU is involved.

BS call. Why in the world the refs aren't trained to call a TD on a potentially controversial scoring play every time is beyond me. They're all reviewed upstairs regardless on a score. Given the standard of evidence to overturn a call, they should defer to the score and have the booth recall it - the conclusive evidence standard works against the no call ( not signaling the score) way more than it ever does the other direction. Deferring to the score gives teams the most fair opportunity percentage wise for the correct call to stand.

That made me angry, but what really took the cake was that Roushar called a slow-developing run up the middle on the next play when everybody in the fucking world knew it was coming. Sure, Pendleton whiffed on his block and actually tackled Bell, but that should be expected with the way things have gone this year. We should have faked to Bell and rolled Maxwell out with the option to pass (maybe even to Pendleton), but I suspect that Maxwell would have walked in as Northwestern sold out to stop Bell.
Unfortunately, that would have taken a small amount of creativity, which is non-existent this year, especially in the red zone.
And if the good Lord’s willin’, I’m a keep on chillin’, refillin’ and flyin’ high

We have to stop this blaming the officials bit. We have been terrible all season. How about the following stats MSU Them FUMBLES-LOST.................. 18-8 10-5 PENALTIES-Yards............... 63-618 50-434 Average Per Game............ 56.2 39.5
If they counted dropped passes and missed blocks, we would for sure lead in those categories too
Sloppy undisciplined play and terrible coaching period.
