  • My stance on these guys stands, we should be celebrating the teams that finished behind these guys because of their cheating.

We recognize the cheaters in sports that won but we don't recognize the people that finished behind them because of their cheating.

Instead of talking about Lance Armstrong, how about the guy that finished second place?

Instead of talking about The Fab Five how about we recognize Cincinnate in 92 who lost to Michigan in the final Four and Kentucky who lost to Michigan in 93? Those teams got HOSED!

Well stated! I resent these guys' constant clamouring for the respect and honor that they do not deserve! It belongs to the teams they defrauded: Cincinati, Kentucky, every team adversely-impacted by their (illegal) NCAA tournament appearances and nearly all B10 teams.

Michigan sucks for allowing decades of cheating!!! If all the B10 coaches and recruits knew about the cheating, so did the SCummy administrators and many fans.

FWIW, everyone behind Lance Armstrong was cheating too.

"Last season, Michigan coach John Beilein helped bring back a host of former players -- including Russell, Phil Hubbard and Daniel Horton -- to help dedicate the new William Davidson Player Development Center. "

lol Yeah, because Daniel Horton is the kind of wonderful alumni that you want to have associated with your athletic department.

When I saw him walk across that court, I was choked to tears.

Well to be fair they wanted Bernard Robinson jr but didn't want to risk him violating his restraining order if one of the many women he was forced to smack around was in attendance.

  • I agree S2. I think we should also remember that Jud knew all along what was going on. MSU lost a lot games to UofM over those years. Lost a lot of recruits becauSe of cheating, and Jud was even labeled a "racist" because he couldn't/wouldn't recruit in Detroit.

I love that Jud gets the last laugh on this.

True. Roy Tarpley was given a call but he's doing his thing. Keeping his nose to the grind, well grounded in this case, stone (or rock as its more commonly called).

And guess what crack head? A lot of those programs (or all of them actually) were never involved in the largest pay for play scandal in NCAA history. They make Urban Meyers cheating look like child's play.

If there was a picture of him at center court in Crisler Arena, I would wipe my ass on it.

I still question this. Don't you wonder who did the autopsy? Michigan certainly had a lot to lose.

This kind of reminds me of the DA who disappeared in the Penn State case. These schools have a lot of very powerful people behind them with many "certain connections."

I don't understand how any UM fan would want any affiliation with these guys. What they did to the university and the program is unforgivable.. If it came out that our current players were taking money and set our program back 10-20 years, I'd be livid about it and wouldn't want anything to do with them going forward...

I certainly wouldnt want our AD hugging them at some event in the future.

    Right on!

Read this: "When you watch a Michigan State game, you notice, they'll have 50 of their guys out there from 1970 to 2000 or wherever, out on the floor celebrating them and appreciating them."

The biggest difference between a Michigan alum and a Michigan State alum is that UM folks are proud of their U. Michigan State alums are proud and absolutely LOVE their U and it is never hard to go back as much as we possibly can.

That's a no brainier. Tim McCormick is pretty solid. Reminds me of Wojo a bit with his ability to stay pretty neutral (though he did day Lavel Lucas-Perry was going to be the best UM pg since Remedial Robinson.
