It really was. Not to be a downer but I'm really surprised he hasn't had more success at CMU. That was a MAC program that had Dan Lefevour and Antonio Brown for awhile.

Agree, our record has been very bad since he left.

Think the point is that recruiting might have been even better. Don't think it's outrageous to believe Enos would have landed a couple of extra talents/yr.

Losing coaches is what happens when you win. Unless you want to go back to before when MSU was floundering in mediocrity, otherwise quit bitching,

Being called a sunshine blower is not insulting to me and I'm proud to be one.

pst... it's because he's not a very good coach.

I'm clearly in the minority, but I think Enos is completely over valued.

But he was our best recruiter and the key factor in our great 2009 and 2010 classes. We have yet to really see what we have from our 2011 class since no one has made any contribution except for the JUCO. But if you look at our 2012 starters almost the entire lineup will be from our 2009 and 2010 recruting classes and many of those were early contributers or starters by their 2nd season. Hard to tell at this point if our 2011 and 2012 classes will live up to 2009 and 2010 classes. Adams, Hoover and McDonald are the only starters who are holdovers from the 2008 class. If you look at the projected linup with Fowler and Lippett at WR and Drummond at S there are 3 Starters from 2008 class. 7 from 2009, 11 from 2010 and 1 from 2011.

I don[t think Dantonio gets enough credit for being a great person. He and his wife allegedly paid for all of his assistants and their families to join him on a vacation after the Outback Bowl.

You can't fake that. His is both loved and respected by his staff.

This is one of the major reasons he has been such a better recruiter and keeps more of his staff than JLS. Not saying JLS was a bad person. MD is just in a class by himself. Wonder how many Spartan fans have named their newborn sons after him?

He's genuinely a nice guy. Also, being close with your staff also ensures that everyone is on the same page when it comes to recruiting, another huge plus.

"People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." - Mark Dantonio.

I don't care what recruits we get if we keep winning 10+ games per year.
