I worked at Hubbard Hall during the summer of 1986.

The hall got new student desks that were probably 20 years old as Hubbard Hall opened in 1966.

They sold the old ones for $5.

My Dad, brother, and sister bought one.

Fast forward to 2012.

My Dad passed away and one of my nephews took the desk for his daughter.

We moved it into her room.

I had to stand on it to reach something.

It held my 230 pounds.

They are still sturdy after 46 years of life.

Just saw this thread was bumped and went to the store to check if there were any left. The web page said "sold out", but I browsed through the sidebar menus and found one "Farm Lane" sign. It was $100 so I can only imagine that it was one of the giant ones. Picked it up! Don't know where I'll put it yet, but f*** it, it's gonna look awesome wherever it ends up.

The big ones were $100 so that's most likely what you got. Someone must have canceled
