    Yes, but CCW laws (at least in Michigan) prevent people from carrying in places like theaters or stadiums. I guess if there's a crowd, you're supposed to just accept the odds that you won't be one of the 15 that get killed in a crowded theater.

    Why do people always assume there's an accomplice? They even mentioned on the news that "maybe there was a second shooter" even though nobody witnessed anybody else and so far there is no evidence to suggest that.

    Also, I'm very surprised this guy went quietly with police. No resistance. It seems rare and strange that the shooter actually lives.

    I said "could have" as a possible explanation as to how he got in tnrough an emergency exit. I didn't say he did or didn't.

    MSNBC hasn't reported this yet and if anyone was gunna pin it to the Tea-baggers it would be them.

    Funny, after reading that post NBCNEWS (rebranded, now going it alone) is the first place I went to see if they were the ones who mentioned the Tea Party. As you said, nothing there about this Holmes fellow being a TP guy.

    Yeah I'm watching Chuck Todd and neither "tea" or "party" has been uttered by anyone on the show and I wouldn't suspect to hear it at least until Politics Nation at 6, maybe Hardball at 5.

  • What it sounds like is that he gained access through an emergency exit at the front of the theater next to the screen. All it would take to gain access through a door like that is to go to an earlier movie and put a piece of duct tape over where the latch inserts into the door jam. Likely the door security alarms would not be activated since the alarms are usually at the top of the door. If you're sitting outside an exit door you can clearly hear the beginning of any action scene and simply walk right in. He threw in some kind of tear gas and was wearing a gas mask. This is a situation where the death penalty isn't good enough and where years of torture is an appropriate sentence.

    Quick facebook search shows the only James Holmes in Aurora, CO is black - lists his occupation as personal trainer, so not him. The shooter is white.

  • First things I heard on the radio when I woke up this morning. It has completley changed my outlook for the day. Thoughts and prayers to all the victims. They way Great White is attached to the fire I am curious if Dark Knight Rises will permenetly be attached to this shooting. Hopefully Nolan and cast will reach out to the victims (not that they are obligated too)

    Same here this has ruined my day already. About the movie, I will still see it since it looks like it will be a good movie, but its always going to seem a little strange to me. I bet the movie takes a hit in the box office because of this.
