damn...heard that the kid was showing some life on the scout teams. Sad, but the coaches were able to pull a pretty talented kid out from the middle of nowhere in New Mexico.

Disappointing to lose a player, but it's something that will happen more and more as Coach D continues to build even better depth at every position. Good players will be stuck on the bottom of the depth chart as even better players are above them. If these guys want to play, they might need to transfer.

I heard the opposite...seems like he just couldn't discipline himself to getting in shape and was not picking up the techniques as well as he should have.

There were consistent reports that effort was a problem for Mr. Ramondo. Too bad he didn't work out in East Lansing.

Reads as though being homesick may have played a factor. He was one of several younger players bunched together at the DT spot this spring and Narduzzi mentioned at one point that he could still afford to lose a few pounds. He wasn't necessarily expected to make a big impact next fall but it's a significant move considering the depth issues at said position.

Best of luck to him, wonder if State tries to add a late signee....

What kind of impact are Clemons and Scarpinato expected to make this year?

Scarpinato didn't develop as quickly as hoped due to multiple shoulder injuries but should be full-go in fall camp from what I understand. And Clemons is a candidate for some playing time next season after doing some positive things this spring. We'll see how it all shakes out in fall camp, but I expect a lot of guys like Clemons, Scarpinato, Knox and Micajah Reynolds to get early looks next season.

That's him. He was standing alone on the sidelines a lot at the spring game. Looked odd.
