I guess you and I have a different definition of "good," regarding in-state recruiting.

I realize it's a different story with Hoke in AA but would also say landing the top in-state player three out of four years is pretty good.

Don't believe so. Every school is recruiting him at DE and that's where he's truly excelled on the field and during camps.

Hard to say at this point. Not really comparable as high school players because Gholston wasn't nearly as big and played linebacker for Detroit Southeastern. McDowell doesn't have Gholston's quickness but he simply overpowers other players in one-on-one drills. Really exciting prospect.

With Gholston and an elite defense, have to think MSU has a solid shot.

Common wisdom says he's a UM lock. We think we might have a chance cause Gholston is his favorite player, and he has been very positive about MSU in all of his comments, and has not been shy about coming onto campus.
