I agree. I think Tyler Wilson is much better and he's all the way down at #13. Maybe Kiper sees a RGIII type of breakout season for Thomas.

Also noted dickbag Taylor Lewan is listed at #12 overall.

  • Tell me how Gholston will be any lower than #10. I guess his production numbers weren't huge last year, but that was also his true sophomore year.

  • When Mel K's "top remaining picks" were unchanged through the last 4 rounds, I knew right then how good Mel was. He's an embarrassment.

    (14) Johnny Adams: "Sound and instinctive zone corner, he attacks what he sees really well. Lacks elite size, but takes on bigger players and tackles well. Really good blitzer. Needs work on his man game, but very competitive. Great ball skills."

    (17) William Gholston: "Great length and frame, with very good pass-rushing skills. Has grown into frame; now has solid 4-3 DE size. Experience shows; reads the play well, knowing when to go wide or come inside against the run. Could be in line for a huge year."

    (21) Le'Veon Bell: "Big, bruising back who follows blocks well and will run over tacklers. Split carries the last two seasons, but might carry a bigger load in 2012. Not a burner, but has quick feet and can get wide where he won't run out of bounds. Finishes forward."

The great thing about this...Bell will not play as passively as Sedric Irvin did his last year at MSU.

I'm wondering where Bullough ends up on the mocks...he's a guy that could also work his way up to the first round.

  • 3 mid round first picks in one draft? This is just further proof of how far we have come under MD and how great of a coach he and the rest of his staff are.

  • Wow, recruiting is killing us....NOT.

Agreed. I think Bell is a bit high. Gholston is a bit low. I think Bullough will be selected in the first 2 rounds.

I'm not so sure Bullough is going to leave early, unless you mean in the 2014 draft.

  • If you can start in the B10, you have a chance to get drafted. Worth and Gholston for sure.

  • I just saw this on the B1G blog. I was very surprised to see Johnny Adams above Gholston, and even more surprised to see Bell on the list. Not that Adams and Bell aren't great players, I just thought Gholston would be the top prospect. It's great to see MSU get some love, and I think that Bell's power running will serve him well in the NFL. He will be a nice complement to a speedy, quick-twitch back.

Not that I'm a football expert by any means, but I'll take the attention Kiper is giving us now thumbsup

I do think he will be listed in the mock drafts for 2013 in round 3 or 4...but I also think he could work his way up. I think if he stays for 2014, he will be a 1st round projection.

As it stands now, my guess is that Bullough will be right at the edge of the good side (for us) of the equation where it makes sense for him to return for his senior year...where the equation says that even though he earns $0.00 next year, he will improve his stock enough in the 2014 draft to offset that year of playing for free.

I think Bell will be on the bad side (for us) of the equation and I think he'll definitely go.

Weird, I actually agree with mr. Mgoblob. Why would any NFL team draft some failed QB as a WR when he has never caught a pass or been trained as a WR in college?

The tools at MBlowMe like to mention Antwaan Randle El in this discussion. ARE played quite a bit of WR in college though, didn't he? Also, I've heard if you see Da-nards without pads, he's surprisingly small. I'm not sure that guy can take the NFL pounding--especially, if he thinks he's going to return kick-offs. McGuffied on the NFL stage.

  • For all the starry eyed crybabies, that's a 3-star and a 2-star sandwiched around a 5-star player, I realize Kiper doesn't know shit from Shinola, but it is still a testament to Dantonio (& staff's) talent evaluation capabilities..
