That's a fairly overly simplified description of Priester's skillset

The difference is that any Atomship song contains good drumming, as does August Burns Red, BtBaM, DMB and Tool. All sound better, and just overall are better, but you make a broad sweeping statement that he's better than anyone in the US when he sounds very generic.

Here, my personal favorite drummer Chad Kent of Atomship (not necessarily the best, I just like him the most, the others I stated above are also up there for me):

    Play

    Atomship - Mothra

Mothra versus the world Let's play! [x2] I know she loved me as we danced away I felt that was pure blood dripping away I thought he would have lived as he passed away Mothra I know he loved you as he turned away Mothra versus the world. Let's play [x2] Versus the world

I can get down with this, but the guy from BTBAM is just unbelievable. Just saying.

Between this and you going on about DMB, I think you might be in the wrong thread, cross genre comparisons are a waste of time.

Comparing drummers, and going on about DMB? I brought up more metal than non. Tool, August Burns Red, BTBAM are all metal, Atomship I'm sure is some form of it. Sorry I listen to more than one genre of music?

Here, Trivium, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Opeth, Norma Jean, Mudvayne...etc. all have better drummers as well, in my honest opinion.

    August Burns Red:

So you put a lame argument against ONE of the bands I listed, cool. Not to mention the fact you're trying to change what we were discussing, that that drummer was very bland and nowhere near the best.

I'm just explaining why August Burns Red didn't really register as "Metal" to me.

It's a shame Americans could never quite get metal right.

There might not exist a metal drummer in any of the 50 states who is on the level of Aquiles Priester

If Winger is wrong I don't wanna be right

They're plenty metal, but regardless, you still strayed from what we were discussing completely.

Then again, if we're playing that card, the song you listened doesn't really register to me as Metal either.
