Metro Detroit Area Furniture Stores

Any of you have recommend any places you have had good experiences, and the prices are fair? Am looking for living room furniture. Hate going to Art Van, as I feel I need to take a shower after leaving there, and I am not fond of most of the quality there. Am north of Detroit, so north east Oakland County or southern Macomb county tips would be appreciated.

Check out Bejnars, Just north of M59/mound. Some things are pricey but it's a mom/pop type of place that might have what you are looking for and might have a deal going on.

I have two rooms of furniture from Gardner White. It's not top quality but better than Art Van and reasonably priced. Unfortunately most of the higher end stores in town have gone out of business and Scott Shuptrine has been absorbed by Art Van. The truly high quality furniture is at the Michigan Design Center in Troy but you generally order through a designer.

All of our furniture is either from Gorman's, Ethan Allen, Macy's, or Ikea. Unless it's a recliner, I hold only advisory capacity when it comes to furniture purchases.
