  • Simple speed option by an immobile QB. Great call Dan. Please take your bullshit out of east Lansing after the year. Why coach D is so loyal to you is beyond me.

He does seem to misinterpret the concept of breaking tendencies. Taking it to mean calling something so stupid for a given situation that nobody would expect it.

I can honestly say that he did have the element of surprise on that play. I'm certain nobody on the Iowa side was yelling to watch the option when Cook came in.

He calls things so idiotic that our players don't know what to do. We had to burn a timeout b/c our WRs were lined up on the wrong side of the field for a sweep play. They should know by now that we only run toward the short side of the field.

And the one of the few creative calls he tried to organize the players were so confused running the wildcat that they called a TO.

Not just Roushar, but this loss is on the coaches. So many miscommunications, and conservative play calling enabled Iowa to come back.

Oh dear lord I'm actually (sort of) sticking up for a Roushart call

On that option play w/Connor Cook, it failed because the OL totally whiffed on the DE.

Then again, if they had half a clue as to how to execute the play, then that wouldn't have happened.

France whiffed, but you don't put in a cold, not especially mobile QB with almost no game experience to run an option play. You just don't.

We have confusion on offense that I don't see from any other team in America.

I was gonna make a sarcastic post about an OL whiff, and who would have thunk such a thing could happen. But on second thought...

Breaking a tendency like in the red zone how about play action on first down? Not the usual Bell running play. Are the other TE's so bad they can't be used in the redzone? I hope they get rid of this guy at the end of the season. By the end of the season I mean today.

  • Listened to the presser,,,,, he is way over his head. This was a backdoor candidate from day one and it is costing MD momentum with the program. He needs to be demoted. MD will not fire him because he knows no one will hire DR and he cannot deal with that. However, I do not think anyone can say that we cannot find a better OC than Roushar. Hollis needs to have that private meeting with MD about the situation. This is big business for the university and not MD's private operation. Money has been spent on this product and committments made. It's time for accountability.

I'm not advocating for a return of Dave Baldwin but I'm positive he can call a better game than Rousharded. Yes it is that bad.

Posting member of tRCMB since 1997. It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
