Mike and Mike bashing Bo Ryan for "Transfergate"

  • This deserves its own thread so everyone can hear what an idiot Count Dracula really is and how proud the vadgers should be to have two classy coaches...

Yes I know, tSearchFunction, I saw the other "Who's down for some Bo bashing, blocking transfer schools..." thread about blocking Jarrod Uthoff from transferring to a list full of schools...

  • I started at the 5 minute mark. Bo wasn't very convincing in his arguments and sounded petty. His last statement putting it in perspective and asking for fairness was the only thing that he said that gave me pause.

I don't think that this is going to go well for him.

  • The whole situation is over, there was already a thread specifically about Bo Ryan on Mike and Mike. Way to be on point

  • Makes you question the need for 4 year scholarships if the contract is meaningless and not binding. Perhaps all regulations regarding transfers should be eliminated and allow more of a free market.

No. This has nothing to do with the 4 year scholarship. A 4 year scholarship guarantees a recruit an education no matter what happens on the playing surface in regards to being replaced or injury. Going to a more free market system would not fix a transfer problem. It wouldn't help the student as schools would be able to do dismiss players at will, it wouldn't help the school as players can go wherever they want every year with no commitments to anyone, and it wouldn't help the fans as they would never know who would be on an ever changing team of rotating players.
