Most picturesque drive: 75, 127, or 131?

None of them really, if I had to choose, I'd say 131 just because I haven't traveled that one as much as the others. I75 by nature is not scenic. 127 has nice things, but there isn't much between Lansing and Houghton Lk...and by then your just getting dumped into 75 in a few miles.

There are no "scenic" sections of I-75, until you get north of Gaylord.

I drive to the Traverse/Leelanau area a lot. And although it takes significantly longer, I've taken to driving over to GR (I live in Ann Arbor) to pick up 37 North when I head up to Traverse City. It's a pretty scenic drive through Manistee National Forest and there is usually virtually no traffic or speed traps.

M-22 and M-115 are also better than 127, 131 or 75

Also I'm going to include M-63 for picturesque, it runs along the Lake in SW MI.

Well, US-127 is the easiest way to get to northern Michigan (usually) from the state capital. It's definitely rural. Not necessarily picturesque though.

US-127 was the route north to the Straits before I-75 was built.

I've made the drive from Lansing to Grayling on 127 many times and I wouldn't call it picturesque. As others have said, right before it hits 75 it gets nicer, but then it's 75. Haven't driven enough on 131 to have a good input there, but the little sections I have driven (around the Boyne area) are pretty scenic.

I am always on the road.... 31 is better than 131. 75 isn't good till way north. 127 is average, lile a 131.

131 is pretty nice, a hell of a lot better than I-94. 131 has quite a few rolling hills since its going north the whole way. Also the drive through GR is fairly pleasant, a good view of the town.
For an interstate, I think I-69 is pretty damn nice too.
