Wow, Edge still wrestles? I stopped watching around 2003 once The Rock and Stone Cold left. I remember Edge and his "brother" Christian ...that is pretty funny. I was switching channels and flipped by RAW one night and saw Triple H, that dude and Undertaker have been around forever.
But I started watching wrestling when I was 7, like your kid. I would say wrestling was most popular in the mid-to-late 90s. I remember making VHS tapes with my friends, we would hit each other with folding chairs. It was hilarious as I think about it, and I still have the video. Shit got rough once my friend got hit in the mouth with the chair by my other friend and he had to get a root canal

So the kids just started to get into 'rasslin... (I figure it is a rite of passage for American boys, so I am not fighting it...)
Last Monday night the "Edge" who was the champion announced he had to retire for medical purposes. Dude had spinal fusion surgery or something and he is like close to snapping his neck if he 'rassles anymore...Well the 7 year old took the news horribly. Usually the tougher of my kids, he acted like someone shot his dog. Poor little dude was balling as he was brushing his teeth for bed last night...
I'm thinking we may have to do a little funeral for the "Edge" if this doesn't pass...
