"The Nighthawks" Marine Helicopter Squadro...
Marine Helicopter Squadron One, HMX-1, also known as "The Nighthawks" arrives at O'Hare International Airport on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012, 2 days ahead of President Barack Obama's arrival to Chicago for two campaign fundraisers and a visit to his campaign headquarters. The helos that arrived are 2 VH-3D Sea Kings and 3 CH-46 Sea Knights. The arrival of these helicopters followed an earlier arrival of a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III on Runway 27L, most likely carrying the President's limousine and other security and support vehicles for his visit to the city of Chicago. Unfortunately, I was not at all ready for the squadron's arrival and I caught really shaky footage. Enjoy! Recorded with a Canon PowerShot SX40 HS on 3-14-2012.
