Need 8 teams. No auto bids.

If they institute a 4 team playoff, you have to believe that it will eventually expand to 8. Other schools/conferences are going to want in on the action.

So we play at the higher rated teams campus, and due to the fact that BCS rankings are horseshit, we just stop pretended they are neutral sites because we would actually be playing the SEC in their house, as they will still be ranked higher due to unproven SOS beliefs regarding their conference. It's a move in the right direction and all, but I want to see it chosen by committee like the basketball tourney.

Your thoughts are understandable. In your situation however, what's to prevent SEC bias in the committee? It's not like the BB committee hasn't demonstrated an ACC or Big East bias in the past. The same could come true in FB.
