He can still leave when he wants, correct? I dont see what the big deal is. If our defense is as good as advertised this year, he is gone. He has certainly earned that.

this is nice, however it does not cement him into the position. He is getting a well-deserved raise, but if he has another good season, I think he will be gone.

It will have to be a solid bcs school that's willing to pay $500,000+
this basically guarantees Narduzzi wont be leaving to coach a mac school ala treadwell and enos
One thing Narduzzi has working against him is that he's never been a head coach that alone will scare off a lot of big name schools

By no means does it cement him as our DC for 3 years, but I'm most impressed with the strong message it sends to future coordinators that might look here. Good performance will not go unrewarded. It's another step in the right direction in displaying our willingness and ability to compete with the big boys.

I'm happy for him, but let us be honest. Nardog was not going to take another D-coordinator job someplace else. When he leaves it will be for a head job--probably a good head job and who could blame him?
