I agree this place is self loather central, but IMHO it's good news if he's a head coach somewhere else next season, because it will mean our D will have had another dominating season. And growing a coaching tree is never a bad thing. Dantonio will retire someday and one of his disciples will take his place after having HC experience.

This ensures he won't leave for a lateral DC position. Also at that pay ensures he won't leave for a MAC level HC position.

Perhaps, but I doubt it. The resume enhancement of being a D-1 HC is usually worth more than money for these guys. Ask Urban Meyer or Brian Kelley how going to the MAC worked out for them.

i can't remember exactly the quote but Narduzzi said once that he really prefers being a DC because he gets to do more coaching with the kids and he really enjoys that type of work. Now he finished by saying that could change, but it really seems like duzzi just loves coaching defense and if he was a HC he wouldn't be able to be as involved with the defensive stuff as much as he likes.
Not saying he wouldn't take off for a HC job just saying I remember him saying how much he loves being a DC.
The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.
