    That sounds backwards. I'd totally be looking forward to the summer because that's likely when we're likely going to get a large portion of our commits anyway.

    Just to chime in... Dantonio is rock solid as a coach and probably the best that MSU has had in a while. He has spent the time establishing recruiting. He won a Big Ten title. It's as simple as that. He will get his recruits on his timetable.

    Fans can go thru the mood swings and anxiety of each recruit whether we lose one to scUM or get one and the spin will begin. Ultimately I want decent recruits that buy into Dantonio's system. How it plays out game time will be much better than our previous coaches and teams. scUM is a national team whether we like it or not. They will get their recruits and all we can control is our own.

    Personally I'm not worried about losing Ringer as we are stacked at that position. I want to see depth on the DL and OL. I'm an alumni of CC and my guess is that Goden is probably scUM bound due to family etc. Heck we lost one at FHH and have not returned the favor picking one up at Cass Tech. Big deal. Again- I trust in Dantonio and in the end he will get guys that he wants and want to be Spartans!

    We have a good core in coaches and AD. Keep the faith Spartans!

    We didn't lose Ringer, we never offered him.

    Yes, logically the summer is when we pick up our largest amount. I don't know why we have legacy recruits sitting on the fence still, and that's what worries me.

    CBD is reporting to expect 2 commits by Monday...one Offensive and one Defensive so we will be opn the board soon enough...

  • What you guys have to understand is that UM has one thing they can offer that MSU cannot and that is playing time. MSU has the most depth it has had in years and UM is as void of talent as they have been in years. Did you guys see their D last year? Couldn't stop UMass...of course these guys are going to go to UM when they have a chance to play from day one at a big time school. I'm not worried...we'll get ours and by next February, you're going to look at our commitment board and see another DEEP class. Cause that is all Coach D has done since he's gotten here. I think tGreat White Hoke is a step up over DRod but I also think that Coach D is better and will continue to beat him at UM. Just wait til Hoke has to actually field a team and play meaningful games this year. I think it'll be a miracle if Hoke can win 8 with that defense and lack of O-Line or any physical RBs.

    Yea I mean, seriously, there's only 10 months until signing day.

    By the time recruits are signing on the dotted line UM will have stunk it up on national TV and gotten jail sexed by MSU at home. Hokemania won't have quite the luster it does now. I wish people could atleast let us play the Spring Game before dusting off the torches and pitch forks.

  • I hope we get those 2 as well, but for someone to say that they look at Team A that has no recruits at this point and Team B that has 4-5-6 and be happy with that is beyond me. Right now us and Indiana are the only schools w/o a recruit. Not exactly the kind of company that I want to keep with. I understand that quantity does not equal quality, but for a B1G Championship team, I expect more.

    Dude, the sunshine club make up the lunatic fringe on the board. They are akin to the tea partyers and they are extremely vociferous whenever anyone says anything remotely critical of the coaching staff. These same posters wanted to give bw and jls more time. Rogue and aA are quintessential spin doctors. Rogue plays the attack dog
    and goes after posters with name calling. AA just spins it. Good cop bad cop. When
    Things go into the crapper like recruiting this year, you can count on the sunshine club to go on the attack and spin it. It's pretty transparent. I almost think they are paid by msu to surf this board and Play the attack game.

    Not only is he completely unserious, Tanner doesn't actually know anything about recruiting. That's part of why his act is so funny to him.

    For people who are seriously worrying, I'll point you to the 2010 class. We had one commit - October commit and MSU super-lock Max Bullough - up through May 7th, 2010. His brother has decided to take his time, so we are otherwise in the same shape as we were in 2010, which was a great class.

    Nobody said recruiting was over, the normal kids are pissed off we are 0 for 5 against um against the top instate kids both schools were seeking. You spin doctors can exaggerate things all you want.
