Why not require all nuclear plants to drill a hole all the way into the core of the earth? Then when there is a meltdown, you hit a panic button that opens dropping the overheating core into the middle of the earth where it is uber hot already?
I should patent this idea.

Either that or require all nuclear plants to be fully functional spaceships. If they meltdown, send them off in space at the sun.
