I would love to see the numbers if they took out the veterans exposed to agent orange.
Veterans exposed to Agent Orange are able to get disability benifits because the link between agent orange and adult onset diabetes is 600 times that of the average non exposed person. So while obesity is an issue and probably contributes, I would like to see the numbers with Agent Orange exposed Veterans removed.

Autoimmune issues are exacerbated by shitty diet. Juvenile diabetes and the massive increase in type 1 that comes on later in life are different animals. Lots of people with type 2 develop type 1 due to prolonged insulin resistance and the pancreas eventually says f this I'm out.

Eat a shitty diet with type 1 or type 2 and you end up in the same place. Type 1 onset is believed to be a function of exacerbated autoimmune cluster fuckery thanks to the the pro insulin resistance so prevalent in the western diet. This is why it is exploding. The genetic signaling that results from the pro inflammatory diets most everyone eats is at the heart of it.

No one knows what causes Type 1 diabetes, but they have narrowed it down to the presence of a gene or gene pools as indicators. This has NOTHING to do with your diet.
Also, Type 2 diabetes does not develop into Type 1. Just because the pancreas fails to produce insulin does not mean that it is Type 1.

Whether or not a "shitty diet" exacerbates an autoimmune disorder, doesn't change the fact it is an AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER, and in Type I's case, most likely from a genetic predisposition.
A Type II diabetic that becomes insulin dependent is still classified Type II and is dependent from a completely different biological process.
Stop spreading misinformation.

Oh yeah it's ma bad genes! I live that. We all have shitty genes. They are reactive to environment. They turn on when you stuff them full of autoimmune sparking shit like excess omega 6 fatty acids and shit like gluten while exacerbating insulin resistance. This is a dumb argument because you're just gonna say I'm wrong and im gonna say you're wrong and blah blah blah. Autoimmune disorders are up across the board, not just one type of diabetes because a bunch of people humped.

Your ignorance and persistance on the subject is astounding. Of course there are still people that think the world is flat as well so it shouldn't surprise me.
Understand that Type 1 diabetes has nothing to do with insulin resistance or the food that you eat - that is type 2. You have already proven your ignorance stating that Type 2 can develop into Type 1. That is simply not true. Type 1 is the fact that immune system has attacked the beta cells that produce insulin. The effects are similar to Type 2 in that the body does not have enough insulin, but the cause it completely different. One cure will have absolutely nothing to do with the other.

Nobody has said that. But hey, wanna make it worse, eat a bunch of saccharide riddled shit. You guys are hyper sensitive to this point and can't even rationalize. I never said diet CAUSES TYPE 1, I said it is the reason IT IS EXPLODING IN DIAGNOSIS.
but here is the deal. Imma take my healthy body, and healthy genes, and eat my low carb, gluten free, Paleo diet... And we can compare notes in about 80 years.
