OT: how to change page redirect

My wife downloaded some crappy Zynga game which changed my chrome browser. It added two intrusive toolbars and changes all my search results to ask.com. I managed to get rid of the toolbars but if I mistype a website it routes me to ask.com and more pop-ups.
Is there a way to return Chrome to its default "page not found" settings?

Lots of things it could have done ... Look through your Chrome config, default search browser ... Back in the day viruses would enact similar behavior by changing DNS routing.
