Officially a CMU season ticket holder!!!

  • Me: "Have you made sure no MSU fans will get into the stadium?"
Them: "Don't worry sir, we have made sure no Spartans will be in the stadium because only season ticket holders and CMU donors can get tickets."

    Really contemplating this.

Think you will be able to sell any of the other games?

  • Also, were you able to buy additional single game tickets once you got the season tickets?

Maybe the Western game. And you will get like $20 tops for it.

Yeah true. I wonder how much tickets will be going for outside of the stadium for the MSU game. Probably not $150 each

Yes, I think the Navy and Western games will be worth a couple bucks. Either way though, the MSU tix alone make it worth it. 2 season tix are $320, plus $55 for single game MSU tix, total $430. The MSU tix will be going for well over $100.

As a bonus, the single game MSU tix are on the $50 yard line, and you pick the exact location you want for your season tickets in section H or C. Like you can literally pick Row 1 aisle, or Row 6 middle...must not be a lot sold yet.

You are allowed to buy 2 single game tickets per account. So basically you can get 2 extra MSU tix if you are a season ticket holder. I'm sure you could get extra Navy or WMU tix if you wanted too.

    Sigh..

I really don't like this move by Hollis. Gives us another game in an unfriendly atmosphere. All this game does is hurt us. You wanna play an away game during pre-season, do a home and home. Otherwise, bring in baby-seal U and let our young qb/receivers develop in a friendly place. + earn much needed money for the athletic dept instead of or in addition to charging seat license fees.

  • Also, today is the first day season ticket holders can purchase single game MSU tickets. So get them fast as they will likely sell out as all the CMU donors and slappies start loading up.

Please, this has been covered ad nauseum. Do your homework, it's a great deal for MSU. Plus, we get revenge and humiliate them at home, sorry Enos.

Won't all of the CMU alums and students be in Ann Arbor for the game against Air Force?

It's great for a young team to get a slight road away game before going into IU and O$U. Moreover, financially, we make more money. We're transferring three home games, but we're getting 9 MACrifices - and we don't have to pay guarantees for those games. While those fans won't become Spartan fans, maybe they'll root for us over the fuckers in scUM. Finally, it's good for the state. Look at all the tickets CMU (and WMU and EMU) will sell - it will help keep the attendance numbers up, and maybe 5% will have fun and continue to buy season tickets for them.

Agreed, I think its a pretty good idea. I will be getting tickets to the game @ WMU, and I think it will be pretty cool. I'd much rather play EMU, WMU or CMU than Jacksonville State or Northern Colorado. At least the games are still somewhat local.

I also like the fact of an easy road game in the early-going. Sometimes its good to get a reminder that its not as easy on the road and can help a team focus. CMU is very down right now, I expect a 38-10 type of score for MSU.

They're coming into Spartan Stadium 3x for steep discount compared to what they get for going to other schools.

  • Is this seriously the only way we can get tickets for the MSU game?

    How much would 2 cost?

    Oranje15

  • There are a few ways...CMU season tix, request them with MSU season tix, stubhub or similar sites. Then eventually CMU will open it up to the public. The problem with the MSU request is you won't get them, and stubhub, etc. will be expensive. Waiting for CMU to open up to the public is risky and will be hard to get too.

Purchasing CMU season tix you'd probably make a few bucks if you didn't use the the MSU tickets...but obviously that would defeat the point. I look at it as a small investment to represent MSU and get a little payback against a school that has recently grown a little too big for its britches.

    2 season tix are $320, plus $110 for 2 add'l MSU tix...total $430. I'm guessing 4 MSU tix alone will be worth $430.
