I noticed during the Parade of Nations, I must be slacking off on my World Geography.
Sorry Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Comoros, Vanuatu, Nauru, Eritrea, and Timor Leste. Didn't know you existed.

Yes, you're correct. My mistake. I thought that NBC had plans to improve their coverage for this Olympics, but it appears that they're still planning to show many of the events with tape-delays. NBC's horrible coverage led me to watch the Olympics on CBC when I was at MSU and it appears that things have not improved much since then.

A rather boring ceremony, but not as fucked up as Canada's...funny to see how startled the queen was when she was awoken to read her brief part.

Sadly I missed the opening festivities as I was treating a bad case of toenail fungus last evening. Could anyone answer this burning question - did Camilla spook the horses?

You'd be surprised, many countries are quite far ahead of the US when it comes to TV technology and offerings. Not sure what is holding the US back. Here's what the BBC is doing:

Was it just me or did Sir Paul sound awful? I thought it almost sounded like he was choked up at the beginning then just sounded off for the rest of the song. Not to mention his just the guys, now just the ladies bit he has doing for eons. Should have brought Ringo, Julian Lennon and Dhani Harrison up and done a Beatles medley. Now that would have been memorable.

Toenail fungus? I'll take your word for it. Anywya, Camilla had no big hat, even the Queen went with a small head thingie. Camilla sat there like a slug whenever they showed her which was luckily not much.
