  • Sorry...but Robenson has had three years to learn how to be a QB....the coaching at uofM is a sigificate upgrade from the JLS clown they had...he may never be an NFL QB like Hoyer, Stanton or perhaps Cousins but he knows what he can do as do his coaches...this will be a dog fight...

And also they have the whole "We're Michigan" thing going for them as well. That's good for at least 10 points right there.

  • Not sure why, but if - IF - UM wins this game, I have a suspicion that the zebras will help them. A few key calls on 3rd down, a personal foul when a punter performs an Oscar-winning ballerina act, you name it.

I think MD needs to drill into the MSU players to play the tightest game possible. No stupid stuff.

THis. And it can be done. NOte the Wisky game right after the UM penatly-a-thon. NO penalties!!!!

I think the 2 largest subjective calls that could hurt us are roughing the QB and D pass interference. There is zero doubt the officials will be very aware of last year's issues and will call the roughing stuff tight from the get go. And with DR's propensity to "punt pass" when being chased, air balls can result in a lot of jockeying for position...and the D usually draws the flag if lots of pushing and positioning going on. These 2 fouls are ball breakers in that they keep UM possessions alive and do not give us the ball when the situation called for. It frustrates the D and they get tired when they cannot get off the field after performing well except for the penalties. DR has shown he can score quickly (if not luckily) so keepiing our D fresh, and simultaneously keep DR off the field, is very crucial.

Need to be aware, disciplined and not get frustrated by DR. We've contained him in the past, can do it again, just need to avoid stupid penalties.
