Orientation sucked. The polar opposite of the college experience. At orientation, they wouldn't even let us go across the streets to the tennis courts without one of the staff members.
A few years after my own orientation, I spent the summer working at the parent orientation program. That was hilarious. So many parents watching their kids leave the nest for the first time, and breaking down in tears when we would ask something like, "Do you want to tour your student's residence hall?"

Agreed. I used to work orientations about 25 years ago. They do kick people out of school for drinking, etc. They are not kidding around. they warn you about 35 times during orientation (at least they did back in the day). Take two days off or however long it is these days. Not sure how many proud CMU grads can tell this story but I know it's happened.

).
because none of us knew any of the local restaurants. We had a couple drinks there and bought a pint of Jack to bring back to Wonders.
I feel really bad for each and every one of those people on stage.

Orientation tomorrow!
