I wouldn't be surprised if we lose in the BCS championship this year to Bama or LSU. If we lose to bama by more than scUM loses to them, Walvy fan will still claim they had a superior season, and thus should be ranked higher at he end of the year.

  • Nebraska is tough because like last time they are the end of a brutal streak, but they don't scare me as some other teams.

  • At wisky by a wide margin. Both teams are going go be amped up and it's gonna be a wild atmosphere in Madison. I have a feeling we continue to take care of business in Ann Arbor.

OSU is going to have a very good D, and Nebraska's will be decent. This is why Nebraska scares me more. Plus Burkhead is a lot more versatile than anything OSU has and I think Nebraska's OL will be better than OSUs. Plus, for OSU, Hall is more than likely going to be out for the MSU game with his injury. Meyer named him after Spring game as the number one running back and a playmaker. Without him, they are very inexperienced at RB.

O$U comes after EMU. UNL comes after Wisky, scUM, and O$U.

No offense, but Burkhead is not super special. He's a good RB, sure, but last year he got yards against us by sheer volume of carries and not cause he was shredding us up. We held him to 3.71 YPC on 35 carries but the inability of our offense to do ANYTHING is what killed us in that game. Keep in mind we were also playing that game with Norman out and Gardiner/Elsworth in. If pure athleticism is anything to go by, Harris/Jones would be an upgrade in terms of that already.

He was held under 4 YPC by us, UM, South Carolina, Northwestern, and Fresno State.
He's a good RB and will do some damage against every team, but I don't think he's elite by any means.

You know Brandon already made a down payment on a least one phantom pylon touchdown. Refs always favor the home team in that stadium. So we have to beat that team and the officials, thats a double whammy.

I think Wiscy is going to have a huge dropoff at QB and all the changes in the coaching staff is going to affect this team. They had 2 great years and are due for a let down year which is their history. They probably drop off to 7 or 8 wins this year.

This. Don't get me wrong. UNL will be tough as will tOSU and Wisky, but double secretly Brandon and Hoke have circled this game is super x 4 revenge game. All the tricks come out for this. They've become us circa 2004 or 2001.

This writeup could easily apply to Michigan State.

How anyone thinks we're anywhere close to a national title contender with an untested QB and zero experienced WRs is beyond me.

Bama won with a RS frosh at qb last year.

  • There is no way a home game should be considered our toughest game, not unless we were playing some national power like Bama or LSU. We haven't lost in SS since the 09 season.

In terms of overall team strength for the coming year, I think you could very well be right.

In terms of the game relative to where it falls on the schedule, it has to be Nebraska.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Combination of both. We have a hell of a home schedule this year but I think we keep the streak going.
