Paterno, Tiger, Bonds, ??? Bigger epic fall from grace?

In the last ten years or so who do you think has had a larger fall or quicker. Amazing.
Paterno: Last summer this guy was an 84(?) yr old God. The biggest argument was he going to coach until he died and if he ever made in home's any longer.... Now disgraced, dead and family soon to be broke.
Tiger: 9 iron to the face, strippers (we can argue if that really is a bad thing!) divorced and never or hardly ever seeing his kids and a golf game that still is trying to regain it's old form. And now a cheese stache and goatee...
Barry: In five years his head size increased by 30% but claims to not know...

Joe pa by a mile. Joe Pa was revered. The others were respected. He was on a higher pedestal. Also, the other guys either cheated on their sport or their wife. JoePa protected a monster who preyed on children. MUCH worse so he sunk even lower. He fell from higher and dropped lower. His fall from grace might be the worst I knowledge sports history.

Paterno. Bonds was an already an asshole and 50% of people didn't like Tiger even before they found out he was banging everything that walked while married. If Tiger and Bonds weren't so private, their scumbag nature would have been found out long ago. Bonds literally has done nothing to impress me as a person and while Tiger writes a ton of checks to charities and helps kids, he is morally rotten and is about as mature as a 17 year old kid looking through Hustler mags, swearing around his friends to sound cool and trying to put his dick in everything above a 7.
Paterno went from gold standard to shitstain in a matter of weeks.

True, but I think you could say the same if I had told you Tiger Woods would get caught banging pornstars who starred in double penetration videos and then plummet outside the Top 50. Tiger might have always cussed on the course and acted like a chump, but away from it he was as respected as Phil as a family man and role model.

Paterno by a mile, never saw that coming.
With Tiger, while i didn't expect that he was cheating, i had seen small fluff pieces that talked about his close friendships with Barkley and Jordan. Knowing that those guys are know to party a bit, I kinda figured he wasn't as button down as the media portrayed him.
Even before Bonds was a doper he was and a-hole, so he had no grace to fall from.
Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.

Not really.
If you tell me a professional athlete whose sport allows him to travel to a new city each week is cheating on his wife, I'll believe it.
If you tell me a professional baseball player in the last 20 years used performance-enhancing drugs, I'll believe it.
If you tell me that a revered football coach knowingly covered up child rape for years on end, I'll probably be a little skeptical.

For the record, campus looked awful last week when I left town. All brown, overgrown with weeds, lawn not trimmed at walks and curbs, etc. Just looked dirty, old and abandoned... Yes I know it's summer but still..... If you drive across campus with an open mind you'll agree. Now that being said, I think MSU is in one of the top 5 most beautiful campuses in the US for 9/12 months. -though with the new art museum on Grand River we may have to debate this. Ugh.

I could extend the question and ask the most surprising.
Paterno was a shocker to me. He had myself and the nation totally fooled. Stunning.
Tiger. Didn't shock/surprise me at all but I think his fall the first 60 days would compare to anyone elses in history but has bounced back well.
Bonds: No surprise and I hated him anyway
I thought Schwartzenager would take a bigger hit.
Clinton: Shows how resilient some people can be. The nation love a comeback and underdog
