Peanut butter is still expensive

After a poor harvest last fall, peanut butter prices rose significantly ($1.79 a jar to $2.49 at Trader Joe's).

I eat peanut butter almost daily with homemade bread, so this has been a significant first world problem for me. I've even resorted to stocking up on cheaper peanut butter with hydrogenated oils when they are on sale.
How has everyone else managed the high cost of peanut butter?

I don't buy organic, but Trader Joe's PB is natural enough without any hydrogenated oils. If you have to stir it, that's good enough for me.
If you buy organic it's best to probably buy in bulk online somewhere. I've seen those 16 oz jars as expensive as $4.50 or so which isn't worth it to a poor bastard like myself.

A lot of food suppliers and retailers have raised prices, shrunk package size or both over the last 6 months after holding prices low for the last couple of years.

I eat peanut butter like nobody's bidness. I buy the 'natural' stuff where the oil is at the top and you have to stir it. mmmm. Someone told me that is a gimmick though.
