That's actually more the norm today. Minnesota has a practice rink, Wisconsin is building a practice facility, Ohio State had a built-in practice rink with the old OSU Ice Arena, and most of the newer facilities (Notre Dame, Miami) have secondary sheets, too.

I really do think MSU needs an Olympic-sized practice rink, given that one-third of the competition ice in the new Big Ten hockey conference will be Olympic-sized. And frankly, I think it's a bit ridiculous that, today, for MSU to prepare for a game against Northern, or UAF, or, now Notre Dame, the team has to hop on a bus to a non-descript rink in Lansing to get acclimated to the wider ice.

They forgot to paint the goal lines on one of ends for both rinks. Going to be chaos on icing calls

Munn was amazing when it first opened, and still is a very nice--although smallish--arena. You should have gone to a few Dem Hall games...

That's pretty sweet looking, looks like a practice rink on the port side. The students will be at the visitors net side only two periods and only If they start them at that end in the first period. Remember they switch every period.
