If you have the time and are in the E.L. area today or this weekend, get over to the ballpark and help the guys work to end a 33-year MSU baseball postseason drought.
Only 7 regular season games left...all are in the area. All are critical as we are on the postseason bubble.
3 games vs. Iowa this weekend on campus.
1 game Tuesday night vs. Central down at Comerica.
3 games vs. PSU next weekend on campus.
I will provide score updates in the team thread for those that can't make it.

Where are all the traveling hawkeyes, I would have expected campus to look like the closing scene from field of dreams.

That field and stadium used to be a shithole. Glad to see them fix it up finally. That picture is sexy.

Glad to see the grass baselines are gone. When I played there in high school those were so annoying. The sprinkler system turned on in the middle of the games. The game was postponed for an hour because nobody had a clue how to work them. The field was soaked.

Not so much anymore since they switched to the new BBCOR bats last year. Balls aren't flying out with near the regularity as they did 2 years ago.
Still not the *CRACK* of a wood bat, but they're getting more realistic.

Yes. They just added some more grass out there to give the illusion that the hill was still there.

Bucciferro Fires Complete Game Shutout in 6-0 Win Over Iowa - MICHIGAN STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

Senior right-hander Tony Bucciferro threw a five-hit, complete game shutout and struck out nine batters, one shy of his career high, to lead Michigan State past Iowa, 6-0, Friday afternoon at McLane Baseball Stadium. It marked the fourth complete game shutout of Bucciferro's career, and in the process, he became the all-time leader in innings pitched at MSU with 352 1/3.

Is the hill really gone? It still looks like it is there to me? I used to live just past those trees in Williams Hall .... I have a special fondness for Kobs field (er at least the middle of center field) ... had my own kind of back to back homeruns.
