lottery next year, top 8 protected in 2014, #1 protected in 2015, and unprotected in 2016.
i dont expect them to be in the top 8 in 2014, and if they make the right moves, i dont expect them to be in the lottery at all next year.

this is actually a great move.... Now they can build around Knight and Monroe without worrying about Gordon stealing shots. I really hope the pistons take Henson. I think he's a poormans Davis..... His Defense will be an instant upgrade for the Stones.

it has to do with the free agents available that year and having money to resign players.
