So like I originally posted, you don't know what you are talking about in regards to Michigan and recruiting.

Also, this is what I responded to. ".....Until they decommit or have a better player recruited in their stead.". Stay on topic please.

    Please stop trolling this board.

    Who said anyone was crying?

It has been explained to you, some listen, others don't.

Just eat some more of Brady Hoke's shit and go back to where the whole board is in lock step.

Bottom line is Hoke and comapny tried the hard sell. They got antsy, took 2 other players and then told the kid's father that they would take 3 LB's IF this kid had decided on umaa.

We are only wondering why the dance, why the pressure sell to we'll take 3 just for you. I have several acquaintances who played for umaa. They were recruited and played for Schembechler, Moeller and Carr. Two were also recruited by MSU and ND. Recruiting is all about the sell. The coach sells himself, sells the school and sells the college experience.

Time to get over the idea that umaa football is different. We have seen behind the curtain on this recruitment. Its amusing.

Michigan got the linebackers they wanted. msu got the linebacker they wanted...everybody wins.

    Don't forget the Noles

Shane Jones wanted to visit Michigan. Michigan told him thanks but no thanks.

Jones looks like a solid player, he wanted to visit Michigan, Michigan was full except for elite level kids.

Why is a post like this allowed on this board? Seems like recruit bashing to me.

    xxmgobluexx is CLEARLY TROLLING.

You shouldn't do that. You can't get every kid you offer.

I believe the "troll" ban is anywhere from 8 - 100 years according to recent case studies.

2012: Joe Bolden, Royce Jenkins-Stone, James Ross, Kaleb Ringer

2013: Michael McCray and Ben Gedeon

Ya we're all real torn up over losing out on 3 star Shane Jones. No disrespect to the kid whatsoever but I think we're ok with who we've got. Best of luck to you guys on and off the field. Have a great night.

Cute list of names. I hope they'll all fit on the tomb stone after their usual speed bump impersonations against MSU. Shane Jones would walk into a starting job as a freshman.

The classic "we didn't want him anyway" argument. Michigan obviously wanted him and had he been on campus sooner he probably would have got to play Lets Make a Deal.

Either way, being a Moeller kid and with MSU's track record of LB evaluation, I'll take Jones over all those guys.

  • This is going to be all too interesting to see how this shakes out between MSU and UM for the next few years.

No question the are both getting talent but MSU has a head start on developing and stockpiling talent and experience.

To me the pressure is going to be all on Hoke to win this year at home and of they don't do it he will have egg on his face with some extent.

I don't see UMs defense being as good as MSUs this year which is where Hoke has been cleaning up on recruiting. It will take time for those guys to develop.

It is possible that by the middle of the season some of those guys could help (similar to Gholston and Rush halfway through the season last year).

I guess we will we what happens. The big ten has changed forever and it isn't going to be as easy for UM and OSU to dominate the big ten especially with teams like Nebraska, PSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, MSU, etc.

I don't ever see one school dominating like they once did. Look at the SEC as an example. They have had 3 different schools win in the past few years.

If they don't win this year they won't have a chance for another 2+ years. Shoehorn is a senior in his final home game against their biggest rival. Lose that and they're looking at traveling to EL with a senior maxwell at qb and a bunch of starters back again and Devin Gardner at qb. maybe Morris as a sophomore will give them a punchers chance. If he gets over that whole crying and inaccuracy thing.
