Pop Culture Moments Remembered Incorrectly

  • Virtually everyone quotes the line from Dumb and Dumber as "So you're saying there's a chance?", instead of the correct "So you're telling me there's a chance?"

"Spartan Bob" did not stop the clock prematurely in 2001, and Michigan State did not get any extra time to score.

You would need a large library to hold all the things wolvie fans remember incorrectly.

"As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border." --Sarah Palin

You got a point in there somewhere, Roberta?

This one bugs me. So many people voted in that election that thought Sarah Pallin actually thinks she can see Russia from her house. She might have said that there are places in Alaska that you can see outlying russian controled islands which is true, But the words "I can see russia from my house" never came out of her mouth. Confusing a sketchy commedy skit with a person running for vp is imo just pathetic .

She said a bunch of other really dumb shit though.

    "What is the Bush Doctrine?"

"It's his.... ya know... outlook on life..."

  • Thanks for the political opinion, but a someones explanation of what he meant to say and the factual what he said are two different things.

If I say "I am black" , that statement is what I said.

If someone later comes back to say he really didn't mean to say he was black but African American that is an interpretation of what I said, not in fact what I said.

Pretty ballsy though. The ling to the video of Gore actually saying it is in the post.

Damn, I sure thought that Sarah thought she saw Russia from her house. No way I would have voted against her had I known she was misquoted.

It's all over now baby blue!
