Worst delay I had was when Bishop of NY died, I worked across the street from St Pats, where the funeral was, had all living presidents there, all major NY politicians, tons of other politicians and a ton of "dignitaries" attend...

It is funny, for how much they shut down, I made direct eye contact with Bush from 20 feet away in his car with no barrier and saw Obama go by from 5 feet away in his tinted limo with no barrier (sure, I ahd about 50 guns on me from afar, but still...).

Wouldn't have happened if we had elected McCain...

Blame the GOP. If they'd just give up, Obama wouldn't have to campaign.

On the bright side, Biden totally helped my commute out recently by shutting down the highway until right before I got on, thus clearing out the normal traffic and leaving the road clear for me.

Is that it? It'll be over in a few hours. You are lucky. Obama is not a commute big deal around here unless you are jammed up trying to get into a Five Guys or Hellburger.

The President is a zero commute factor compared to the cumulative PITA from all the other Exec Branch Secretary motorcades, Rolling Thunder, the endless tour buses and the assholes driving them - and the fact that there is nowhere for these idiots to park them either in the District or on this side of the river.

On my last visit to DC, we saw a big motorcade approaching. Everyone pulls out their cameras and gets ready - and it's the frickin' DC Mayor. Seems they took away all his power, but let him keep one of the biggest motorcade's in town to make him feel better.
