I'm gonna have to go with California Highway 4 from Angel's Camp to 395/Topaz Lake. UP and through the Sierra's, this is a BEAUTIFUL drive. Can't go wrong with Highway 120 either, as it goes through Yosemite, but traffic makes 4 a much better thing.

101 from the client's office on Page Mill Rd in Palo Alto to my apt in San Jose
forgot something and had to go back at lunch - road was wide open
ended up kind of racing this hot cougar in a 6 Series BMW for a few miles

17 Mile Drive in Monterrey is great.
Driving on the 101/Oregon Coast Highway north of Yachats, OR is pretty amazing. The seascapes are just mind-blowingly beautiful and awe-inspiring.

I'll second the M119 as a spectacular road too, especially the northern part of it where it's just called Lake Shore Drive near the south end of Wilderness State Park.
How about US 2 going west along the northern shore of Lake Michigan from the bridge? There are stretches were you are practically driving on the beach.

The Road to Skye. The drive from Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye is the most scenic drive I have ever done by far.

road to Hana is fantastic...but I actually prefer the windard Oahu drive from Turtle Bay down to Kaneoha and up the likelike highway or pali highway, then to Pali lookout, then dropping into Honolulu. fantastic.

I like M-22, with my Subaru with Yakima kayak and bike bike racks, with all my REI - Moosejaw Adventure sports wanna-bees. like, man we are gonna go and bike the trails, hike the trails and camp and eat freeze dried Denali food and live off the land for weeks.
