I'm very impressed with Miles. If he can land a few recruits, he's going to do very well in Lincoln.

I've wondered what the Big Ten thinks of him. The lack of talent on our roster this year was truly embarrassing. I remember in the Iowa game, we didn't substitute in the entire second half. Given a couple more years, I'm interested to see what he can do. Considering the league as a whole, I don't think Nebraska expectations will ever get too high -- But upsetting an occasional team would do the program good.

Purdue fan site wrote about should they accept/not accept a bid

"To play at home you have to pay a fee to the tournament organizers, the Gazelle Group. Last year that fee was $35,000 for a first round game, $50,000 for a second round game, and $75,000 for a semifinal."

Mr. Sports Mechanic - Please give an example of irony.

When Purdue accuses us of paying players so we can play in the post-season, yet they are writing checks so they can play in the post season.

Also, Purdue pretty much returns everyone next year and their recruiting is pretty decent. They are going to be a pain in the ass in the future.

True, but MSU returns pretty much everyone and our recruiting is damn good.

I think most of the Big Ten is rooting for you guys to succeed. But let's face it, if you're good at football, you won't have to worry about your B-ball team at all.

Football will obviously always carry Nebraska. But having a second sport that isn't atrocious would be nice.

I'm deeply impressed by Miles, FWIW. He really seems to get his team to play for him. He supposedly has some decent recruits coming in next year, too -- I wouldn't be surprised to see Nebraska beat a couple of teams on the road (looking at you, Purdue) on the road next year.

I thought you guys had a decent baseball program? I remember a few years back you guys had Alex Gordon, Jaba Chamberlain, and Brian Duencing. Has moving to the B1G really killed it that bad? I am sure it will help once Rutgers and Maryland join.

Miles has already joked that he'll have to temper next year's expectations. On Nebraska's board, we had serious discussions as to whether or not we would find ten wins this season. We're thrilled with this year's success and frankly it's hard to imagine us not getting better with some better athletes.

It's definitely in rebuilding stage right now.

The move to the Big Ten has definitely had an impact. Erstad is righting the ship, but Big Ten baseball isn't the most appealing option. Erstad and the staff's connections has helped compensate, but we'll see how long that lasts. We need to win the Big Ten this year.

    Sucker!

Last week I saw how Dawson and Harris both added some SWEET gold rims on their Lexuses. We give our players so much money, they use 20 dollar bills to wipe their ass.

Is it just me or does Matt Painter look like the guy in the Enterprise Rent A Car commercial who goes back to his high school reunion trying to look studly in a Chevy Cavalier?

Too bad Painter didn't play ball at MSU. He would have gotten a sweet ass set of wheels TO KEEP.

Our players' parking lot has more Jaguars than in an African jungle!

That seems to be the consensus, but much like Penn State it will be easier said than done: talk about football schools.

....as for the CBI: this thread is the FIRST I've ever heard of it. Granted, I'm a casual hoops fan but......CBI? lmao
