Purdue is playing good ball.......effers are HOT...

  • Yeah, I know the 24 hr. rule is usually in effect BUT...I'm worried we only have 3 days to recuperate: first turnaround time that short all year I believe: PU is playing alot better than our first game: and they are BUTT hurt over it too. Painter and 'Hummer'biggrinwill be ready...........

    They are hot cause they beat a reeling illini team and a nw squad at home? I don't think so..

    Yeah the osu game was close but that's because byrd was like 11-12 from beyond the arc.

    I'm not buying purdont, most years they are on the outside of the bubble looking in.

    It is not going to be that easy. This game is personal for both teams. Especially the kids on both teams from Indiana that played against each other in AAU and high school. I am going to say MSU by 5. Remember how fouls are called will determine who is on the floor. The Illinois game comes to memory.

    Definitely. I'll take Dawson and Green over Hummel and Byrd all day. I love the way Dawson is playing now, especially on D. As long as Purdue doesnt go absolutely nuts from 3 land I can see MSU winning by 7+

    Don't forget that OSU was coming off a win at the Kohl's Center and was probably looking forward to us 4 days later. If that's not a trap game I don't know what is. Purdue does not scare me.

    The difference is it is not the tourney. It is not equal rest and we have to travel and they don't. With that said I think this team is a whole lot better than purdue. We have to beat ourselves to lose.

    Or is it the fact that home, or away, they haven't beat any of the 5 teams above them in the B1G standings? (0-5)

  • I'm worried about Purdue because I'm worried about every road game.

    Should we win? Yes. But we should've beat NW, Ill, and uofm too. We played great in Cbus. But can this team consistently play great on the road? I think they can, but they've yet to prove it.

    This is their national championship. They wanted IU really bad at their place. Between Zellar on the block and all IU's 3 point shooters, they could not hang. Byrd had a career game at OSU and he shot really well against Illinois who is pretty good defensively. We have to take Byrd out of the game early and Lewjack.

    They did everything in their power to hand Illinois that game last night. Illinois was too stupid to take it.

    They played okay at OSU, on offense. As a result of insane 3PFG shooting.

    No road game makes me feel all that confident, but they match up with MSU very, very poorly.

  • It almost looks like MSU is already in 'Tournament mode'. Their defense has been getting better and better. Not worried about PU.

    the keys will be a quick start to shut up the paint crew and the pounding inside with nix and payne to take advantage of our size.
