I've had a lot of great food in my life and Zingerman's Deli is, hands down, the best deli in the state. Hell, the Midwest, even. They really care about what goes into their menu, it's all natural, and fucking delicious. It's also an insanely cool place. Camp Bacon? Hell yes!
Overpriced ... maybe by about 15%. But I can live with that.
The Roadhouse is also good for dinner. They have some really solid chef talent go through there and the customer service is second to none. But I won't rave too much since there are other good dinner establishments in AA and the state.
I agree with what another poster said. If Zingermans was in EL it would be an institution. No one would speak ill of it for fear of losing their Spartan card.

That is an odd claim. The owners are Jewish. It is a deli. The offer great Jewish delicacies. Zingerman's is without a doubt a Jewish deli. And the food is great.
Yes, it is over priced. Whaddya expect?
That said, this is the most purely local spot ad in the entire Pure Michigan campaign, which in general I think is outstanding. And I think this ad makes absolutely no sense at all.
Some UM person made this ad happen. The Pure Michigan campaign is supposed to bring tourists in. Ann Arbor is a great town. I love it. It is only a tourist town for the Ann Arbor Art Fair3 days a year, and football days. It is not a tourist town. Traverse City is a tourist town. Ann Arbor is not.
Some UM hack made this ad happen.

Pure Michigan: Ann Arbor (Zingerman's Deli)
