Question on computer monitors....

  • Have a monitor that was flashing a green light, picture would not stay up, and was told to replace it and I did.

However this old monitor is still 'structurally' okay outside of the blinking light. Is that fixable at all at an affordable cost as a back-up or should I just get rid of it?

I would consult the brain trust. Gather all your roommates at the halfway house.

Optiking and tacosalad have expertise on every subject. Just ask them.

Damn you Nigel. If I had the ability to down vote on this board you'd be sorry!

If you're really good at electronics and soldering or know someone who is, check the capacitors on the circuit board. They may have blistered and be bad.

I had a similar problem with my monitor and a guy at work replaced two or three capacitors and it's worked fine ever since.
