    Against CMU it wasn't permanent. He could have still gotten his RS if he had an "injury" after that point. His 1 catch for 5 yard day against UM cost him his RS though; too far into the year to get a RS.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    Absolutely nothing on DT Juco recruiting as I don't consider Treyo a DT at 240 lbs. Do we have a shot at any of the guys mentioned in the Juco ranks? Peko even seems to be wavering towards Nebraska.

    Does Trejo look like he can put on anymore weight? 6'4" isn't a bad height for a DT, and unless he can outplay Rush/Calhoun (assuming what Gholston says is true at the end of the year), he probably won't see much of the field as a DE immediately, which I have to imagine is a turn-off for a JUCO with limited eligibility.

    And that is on the coaches honestly. For as bad as our WRs were this year, burning a redshirt and then not giving a guy a chance to show what he can do on the field is a pretty big mistake to make.

  • This coaching staff has been a CF this season... Kings is upset, Arnett is upset, Bell is annoyed. Seriously. WTF was the point in burning Kings redshirt... At least let him run back kicks instead of having KYLER FUCKING ELSWORTH back there!

    I believe both him and Burbridge were straight up asked in the CMU game "Do you want to play?" and both responded "Yes".

    Now, the fact that he didn't see any playing time AFTER the CMU game until Mich when he logged stats is on the coaches paired with probably not excelling like Burbridge did, but his decision to put that RS situation at risk started with him.

    Yep, the comments from Bell and Kings are pretty damning, and begin to show how inept the coaching has been this year. I am hoping that the comment from Dantonio relates to making some major changes in his coaching staff. Although, Coach D should shoulder a large part of the blame for this himself. It should not take a total fuck palace of a season for him to realize changes need to be made...

    “It’s tough because you want to make sure if you’re going to play your freshmen that they’re going to continue to play,” MSU coach Mark Dantonio said. “I talked with them on the sideline, we practiced them all week. I think they have great skills. I think there’s no question when they get the ball in their hands they can make things happen. They just have to get in the rhythm of the whole offense.

    “… They wanted to play. They knew the situation. So we’ve played them now and now we’ll use them. We’ll get them a little more involved possibly."

    They knew what was at stake. Again, we're not taking into consideration that maybe Kings wasn't progressing as fast as Burbridge did. That said, don't get me wrong, the coaches are far from guilt-free in this situation, if they saw Kings was slow to pick up the offense, don't put him out there after CMU and save a year of eligibility. I feel bad for the kid, and if he's the athlete they say he is, I agree, put him back on KR and/or PR.
