Really surprised to read LIU Brooklyn coach Jim Ferry's comments that MSU doesn't go up and down the court, especially after admittedly watching the OSU game Sunday. This was the national perception for quite some time, but I thought the Spartans dispelled that when they ran Louisville out of the gym during the 2009 Elite Eight game.
Izzo wants to push the tempo as much as possible and that's what Keith Appling has improved on throughout the season at point guard. Something I'll definitely ask players about during interviews today.

I don't think it matters. By now MSU has video of most, if not all, of the games that LIU Brooklyn has played this year. Regardless of what the coach says to the media, MSU will be very aware of the style of play that they used throughout the year. At this point they won't completely change their style of play, it's too late in the season for that.

I think it depends on if Valentine can play some SF and if Jackson can play SG. I don't think there's any doubt that PG is both of their natural positions, and frankly, I'd like to see Valentine stay there based on the reviews.
Also, I think it depends on how much more Appling starts playing at SG, and if he stays for his senior year(which I see as a 95% chance). I don't see Izzo giving G. Harris many more minutes as a freshman than he gave Dawson this year(~23), but Thornton & Wood free up quite a bit.
Finally, are we going to take 3 in this class... Hamilton seems like a heavy lean and there's still Parker. I would think you would take Jackson & Hamilton and only take a 3rd if its Parker, since he's pretty much universally considered a 1-and-done.
If we take Jackson and Appling stays, I think we miss out on one or both of Tyus & Drake. In
I will trust, and I will trust whole-heartedly. Achtung Baby
