I thought there was also another highly-touted kicker for 2013 that really liked us. He was mentioned in the McGrath thread but I think the post got deleted because it wasn't very relevant. I forget the name but someone's gotta remember.

By NCAA rule, teams can have 105 players on their active rosters at the beginning of the regular season. 85 scholarship players and 20 walk-ons.
MSU has 94 players on the Spring roaster. There are about 25 scholarship and walk-on players arriving this Fall. There will be approx. 120 players vying for 105 spots. Some walk-ons will leave the team or transfer when they see there isn't much opportunity for PT and others won't make the final cut.
McGrath and or Niswander wouldn't be coming until 2013, so who knows what the numbers will look like then.
Note : Not all walk-ons are preferred walk-ons. Some are regular walk-ons who have been invited to try out for the team.
