Certainly would like to see better quotes out of Mcdowell other than "It was fun."

The reports on this Salem supposedly interviewing I thought were corrected by the MSU AD??? Supposedly it was false that he was interviewing- now you guys have it that Salem has NFL aspirations and may be interested?

If true, "Spartan Tailgate Staff Reporter" (whomever that is) hasn't been told. The rumblings are still reporting Salem. I rather like Salem as a recruiter and RB developer...glad to hear it is Roushar.

ESPN's Brent Sobleski reported that it was Roushar if that helps.

According to Mike Griffith at MLive, the original Salem report was false. He also reported that Roushar was interviewing for the job. If Rexrode reported Roushar as well (as I'm guess he did from your post) that's 2 for Roushar.

If Roushar gets the job then Salem probably moves up to OC and we hire a new RB coach, unless Coach D has someone he knows in the business and would be comfortable bringing in at such a high level on the staff.
The Saints must be wanting someone with recent college experience since they have some pretty good candidates at the pro level already (Maurice Carthon).

Michigan State offensive coordinator, Dan Roushar is interviewing for the running back job opening New Orleans Saints,not Salem. I heard it was Salem interviewing for the running back coach position. Sorry for the confusion
