Sean, Jay Woods eliminated us two weeks ago from his top school list. Cross that one off. I think Munger just needs to get on campus and we would have a legit shot with him.

One reason why o$u didn't offer Miller is because they think Munger can play OG as well as DT at the next level. They liked Munger better than Miller.

I'd add Jake Fisher (Oregon) to that list as well. I think our ofensive line will be fine. Any O-lineman we get will have three years to get stronger and learn the system. It's a need position but the dropoff from plan A's to B's on the O-line aren't as big as the dropoffs at other positions (QB, CB, RB, DE).

CBD, like Bill said, Munger has been a tough one to read. What do you feel is the likelihood he goes with osu? 70%? 80% Higher?

Yes, MSU would make room for Williams and Robbins because they're recruiting them at two different positions. Williams is being recruited as a defensive athlete and Robbins as a pure athlete that could play several positions.
I've heard from one source close to Robbins that he is so versatile he could play running back, quarterback, h-back, and nearly every position on defense considering he isn't done growing by a long shot.

So Robbins= Keshawn Martin 2.0?

I would say Munger is a o$u lean but he wants to take some official visits and enjoy the recruiting process.
As far as a % to o$u, who knows. Long way to NSD.

Dan, For 2014 I would say Tyus Jones AND Cliff are plan A recruits.
If not Tyus I would think Demetrious Jackson would be a priority for 2013 to get a PG

Hey Rocky...
Marcus Ball was mentioned in this post...if you haven't seen him, check him out. Kid is a stud. If Tressel was still at OSU, he would be the SS/star in the class. Another example of Meyer's effect on Big Ten talent...he brings in national kids and Ohio kids go to MSU (hopefully, in this case). Would love to see Munger in State's class too.

Robbins is a much different type of ATH than Keshawn. Robbins is much bigger than Keshawn but not as fast.
Keshawn is the ultimate "quick twitch" athlete. He is fast, elusive, and explosive. Keshawn could hit that next gear in an instant and just blow past defenders.
Two quick twitch athletes similar to Keshawn coming in are McGarrett Kings and R. J. Shelton and maybe Trey Kilgore.

Since Harris is now accepting a football scholarship it allows Izzo to still take at least two quality prospects in 2014. I would say that Michigan State has its best shot at signing Cliff Alexander, then also the home town kid Jaquan Lyle. Michigan State is still in the mix for Tyus Jones and Jahil Okafor but we'll have wait and see how this pans out. I've been saying for a while now that Ohio State is the team to beat for Okafor and I still believe that. I wouldn't describe Jay Harris as quite the "quick twitch" athlete as Keshawn, Kings, Kilgore and Shelton since they are all so versatile but Harris is an excellent athlete.
Harris will bring toughness, competitiveness, speed and big play ability to the table.
It's going to be awhile before any player does what Keshawn did for MSU, scoring TD's on receptions, running, passing, punt returns and KO returns,
The only thing missing from Keshawn's resume is an INT return for a TD, LOL.

Have Drone and staff work on a package of Klepal and Salmon, both of Plant / Plant City. Then Cooper and Khairy Baily. Dline done. Then last 1 or 2 spots go to Finley and that safety out of Florida (again, get the hook up with the other Florida boys). Lock it.
