Red Dawn Trailer

  • Football scene is on old Harper woods Notre dame football field. I watched one night. Pretty cool.

    For you guys complaining about north Korea, it's called the suspension of disbelief. Let it go. When I watch Alien or Star Wars I don't say "oh, yeah I'm sure" at the screen. Same with Batman.

    Disbelief: suspend it for 90 minutes. You'll enjoy movies more.

    Don't know. They were filming from 10 pm till 4 am. I left. The players have set plays and you actually see the same stunts in various football movies. I went back when they changed the football field to a prison camp. I have pictures because a guard gave me a night tour. They ripped up the field pretty good but replaced it all. They also had a planes fuselodge in our church parking lot as they blew up some of mt Clemens

    Yes. Swayze wasn't a hard ass, he was a Bad Ass. Much different. Wasn't a prick our a douche, was a man. This new guy has the "I'm a tough guy and a marine and I have a tribal tattoo and would make a great bouncer" look. Dalton would have fired this guy, because this guy wouldn't ask nicely.

    That is actually a cool story. I really wish I would have gone over and watched some, as I grew up in Warren and spent a lot of time in Mt. Clemens area. It would be cool to recognize the stuff in the movie.

  • I worked downtown Detroit when they were filming there. It was pretty cool watching them make the film. There were several times I would be on the phone and all you would here is machine gun fire. People on the other end would be, "What was that?" I would reply, "Just another day in Detroit." I would let them hang for a minute before I would tell them they were filming a movie.

    The parking garage scene was filmed in the Financial District Garage, were I parked. It was pretty cool. Talked alot to the extras, and stage crews. They were all really cool people.

    Those are sci-fi movies, not an action movie based on a current political climate... except for the Godfather, which doesn't make any sense, what do think is completely unbelievable in those movies?

    Maybe if they changed the Italians to North Koreans it'd make more sense to you. Come to think of it, they really made a mistake with the original Red Dawn by not making the bad guys Yugoslavian. Much better plot.

    Jesus, when I was 15 I took this girl who was really good at sex to star wars. She kept saying "I'm sure" at the movie. Was dumb as a rock. Let me just say I dont believe North Korea would ever invade the US. HOWEVER, I know it's phoney, it's bad acting, and probably not a great movie. You guys saying it's impossible for N Korea to invade the US, well I agree with you geniuses. lol
