I understand people not being a fan of Nike sportswear or the company in general. But anyone who thinks the relationship between MSU and Nike is a bad thing is just ignoring reality.

I agree 100%. There is no brand out there doing anything like this for their schools. The players are LOVING these plus everyone is talking about Michigan State along with six other Elite programs.

We're the only team that doesn't have a title (with Nike), need to change that.
Those black/green Dunks are beautiful, I like the UCONN C logo.

We do have a hockey NC with Nike. I know, I know..... regional, 3rd sport.

At the end of the day I understand why some of the old fogies don't like the whole Nike promotion thing but it is absolutely important to the younger generation of recruits. They want the flashiest and newest gear whenever they can get it. Us being paired up with Nike and getting to be a part of these new lines is a great thing. Personally I think that jacket is awesome but it's probably going to cost a fortune. Just be glad we aren't sponsored by Adidas!

For the few who "don't get it." please feel free to wear your retro gear. I love that stuff too. I don't believe anyone hates on vintage MSU gear. In fact, I love seeing the older folks sporting the kelly greens. Those who believe that Nike releases new designs to "force" you into wearing the latest thing are just insecure. Wear what you want - nothing but Spartan love for everyone.
Fact of the matter: One of the major selling points for Dantonio/Izzo is a close and exclusive relationship with Nike. Be happy that our coaches have this in their arsenal; this is a very very good thing.
